Philadelphia Eagles safety James Bradberry will be sidelined for six to eight weeks after suffering a lower leg injury during training camp, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports. 

Bradberry, who was moved from cornerback to safety, reportedly suffered the injury during practice on Wednesday, with tests showing a hamstring injury. While it is not expected to require surgery, the 31-year-old is expected to be out for six to eight weeks.

Even though Bradberry has a backup role to Chauncey Gardner-Johnson and Reed Blankenship, the 31-year-old’s injury will also impact the Eagles’ defensive capabilities.

Eagles general manager Howie Roseman previously raved about Bradberry’s leadership and versatility, who can play cornerback and safety, but the 31-year-old’s injury issues have seen him placed on injured reserve, likely to miss at least the first four games of the 2024 season.  ( pgzen )
