According to Le Parisien, Boro are in talks with Clermont Foot over the signing of Neto Borges after the English club’s staff were impressed by the player’s performances. ( hotfuns )

Negotiations are progressing well, with media outlets reporting that Neto’s contract is entering its final year, with Clermont Foot opening the way for the player to move to bring in cash.

Likewise, the 27-year-old full-back is keen on a new club as Clermont Foot are currently relegated to Ligue 2. 

Although the move to Middlesbrough would see the Brazilian play in the country’s second-tier league, the Championship is still much more interesting and hyped than Ligue 2.

The negotiations are expected to conclude soon, with Boro working hard to ensure everything goes smoothly.
