The Baltimore Ravens signed wide receiver Nick Boyle to a three-year, $18 million contract with $10 million guaranteed Thursday, NFL Network reported. betflikth99

Boyle, a fifth-round pick in the 2015 draft, is set to become a free agent next week, with several teams expressing interest if the 26-year-old hits the market, so the Ravens have been quick to negotiate a long-term deal.

“I’m going to have a hard time finding a better wide receiver group in the league right now,” Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said at a news conference about Boyle’s signing. 

The figure is similar to Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Jack Doyle, who signed a three-year, $18.9 million contract in 2017 with $9.5 million guaranteed. Boyle’s extension will make the Ravens wide receiver the 15th-highest paid player in the NFL at an average of $6 million per year.

Boyle is one of the league’s best pass-blocking tight ends but has struggled with the passing game. Despite 75 catches for 613 yards, he has not caught a single touchdown. He has just nine catches for 70 yards since Lamar Jackson took over from Joe Flacco as the starting quarterback last season.  ( betflikth99 )
