Wales under coach Bellamy opened their home field to beat Iceland 4-1 in a game where they conceded the first goal but hit back with 4 goals to overtake and win, with Liam Callen, the striker from Swansea City, scoring 2 goals and 2 assists.

Tuesday’s win took Wales to 12 points, overtaking Turkey, who lost 3-1 to Montenegro, and remaining on 11 points, to top their group and secure promotion to next season’s UEFA Nations League A.

“It was a good moment, we achieved our objective, we controlled the tempo and did well,” Bellamy said after the game. 

The former Manchester City and Liverpool player was previously declared bankrupt, leaving him without a house or car after failing in business. 

But after taking over as head coach of the Red Dragons, he led the team to an unbeaten run in their first six matches, winning three and drawing three.
