Barcelona president Joan Laporta has revealed he has mended his relationship with sacked manager Ronald Koeman during the Koeman Cup charity golf tournament on Friday, Diario Sport reports.

Koeman took over as Barcelona manager in the summer of 2020 and led the Catalan giants to Copa del Rey glory in his first season, but he was sacked in November 2021 to make way for Xavi Hernandez, who fell out with Laporta in the process. The pair have since cleared the air and ended their strained relationship. 

‘It’s been a while and yes, we had a coffee because the most important thing is Barça,’ Koeman said. ‘Sometimes in life there are more important things than problems or conflicts between two people.
