After general manager Les Snead began talking with the 27-year-old’s agent, he had to amend several player contracts to free up enough money to hire Donald for the 2018 season.
“It’s hard to deny that I have to thank Mr. Stan Kroenke (team owner/club chairman) for having the courage to give me the chance to leave my job here so that I can be a part of doing something special,” the 11-sack winner, whose contract runs until 2024, said sweetly to the organization.
“The ultimate goal is to lead our team to the world championship of this sport.”
Donald is the heart of the team, having made the Pro Bowl four straight times and been named an All-Pro three times. He will enter the final year of his contract option this season, and then prepare to earn the highest-paid tight end in history. ( baconclub66 )
