Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Max Crosby says he expects his new head coach to help build the organization’s winning culture, NFL Network reports.  baconclub66

“You know, the future of the Raiders, I think everybody knows what’s going on,” Crosby said. “I mean, like I said, I’m there every morning, we talk about it, and I think it’s pretty creepy out there, a lot of new changes and stuff like that.”

It’s the second consecutive offseason the Raiders have faced the task of finding a new management and coaching staff after Antonio Pierce and Tom Telesco were fired in early January. In total, the Pirates have used three head coaches and three GMs during Crosby’s six years in Las Vegas. 

With last season’s disappointment marked by uncertainty at the quarterback position and growing frustration that led to a 4-13 record and three consecutive playoff misses, Crosby is hoping his new coach can help build a winning culture.

“At the end of the day, the most important thing for me is consistency and winning, like you said,” Crosby said. “I really want to get a chance to win and play in these games, play this time of year. I know what I can do as a leader and a player, and I want everybody to contribute.”

‘I’m mainly focused on being in that environment, so whoever gives the Raiders the best opportunity, I’m ready.’

So far, the Raiders have interviewed eight head coaching candidates and four general managers, with names of interest including Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson and University of Colorado head coach Deion Sanders.

Whoever takes over the position will have a lot of questions about the roster, especially at quarterback, but the Pirates have plenty of draft capital and salary to address roster needs, with Crosby, who is under contract through 2027, still a cornerstone for the team as he rehabs from ankle surgery.

“Right now, I’m just focusing on the process and doing my routine and getting healthy. We’ll see what the coaching situation is,” Crosby said. “You know, I’ve been with the Raiders for six years. I’m under contract right now, but I think I’ve said it before. I don’t have any money left. There’s a lot of things to talk about. We’ll do that and focus on taking it one step at a time and we’ll take it.” ( baconclub66 )
