Ange praises Tottenham’s determination to comeback to defeat Villa Sakidbet 

Sakidbet  Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou praised his side’s efforts as they came from behind to beat Aston Villa 4-1 in the second half. Sakidbet 

“They are a very good team. They have such a high level of play that there is hardly any drop.”

“The first half was a very close game, we looked the same as them and it was disappointing that they scored. Then we picked up the gears and we showed it in the second half after the performance in midweek. I thought it was a great effort.”

“We stuck to our principles, we believed in these players and when we did that we were a very difficult team to stop. I felt the momentum was going our way, we knew we could finish strong and if we played a couple of gears up like we did, we knew we would be very difficult to stop.”

“Speaking of Son Heung-min’s replacement, fans in the stadium were confused, including him. “He shouldn’t have played more than 55 minutes. The last time he came back from injury, he played until 60 minutes and got injured again. He came through without any injuries.”

On Dominic Solanke: “The amount of work he’s done for us this week, the goals have been fantastic, but his ability to do everything he can for the team in every area, I can’t praise him enough.”

On James Maddison: “The game didn’t go as it should have for me to bring Madders on. I told them they were all there to contribute. Of course, Madders will be key for us.”

On injuries: “Richarlison felt a hamstring and (Cristian) Romero is injured. We have to deal with what we have to do. We have players who can play and need to play.” ( Sakidbet  )
