Martial remains a free agent after three months out of contract, while Ligue 1 side Lille have denied any interest in him.

After a long wait all summer, Greek club AEK Athens have made a valuable offer for Martial.

AEK have signed a former Premier League star on the biggest deal in the club’s 100-year history.

If he moves to the Athens club, he will earn more than former Spurs midfielder Erik Lamela, who is the current highest earner, according to Sport24.

Although Martial’s exact figures have not been revealed, Lamela earns £2.1m a year.
