At a press conference on Monday, the media asked about the injuries of captain Martin Odegaard and winger Bukayo Saka, both of whom suffered injuries while on international duty.

“They are close to coming back and their progress is going very well, but Martin is not fit yet. Bukayo, let’s see how he feels today (Monday) and the changes to the team after (training after the press conference).”

The incident has prompted British media to suggest that Saka could be available to return to the bench for Tuesday’s game, with Arsenal set to wait to assess the 23-year-old’s fitness on matchday before making a decision.
