 Waller is still under contract for two more seasons and is set to take in $7 million this season on a base salary of $6.25 million. He is currently ranked 17th in the inner wing based on average salary. But it was a very low wage compared to his work.

Some thought Waller might ‘hold-in’ at the training camp to take a stand on his new contract, but the 29-year-old winger missed training due to a problem in his hamstring. But he confirmed he was ready to play his first week against the Chargers on Sunday.

 ‘It’s tough because I want to go out there. But I feel a little bad,’ Waller said. ‘There’s a lot to do mentally. But sometimes it’s like that. There are a lot of ups and downs in this league.’
