The forward has struggled for consistency since joining from Fiorentina for a fee including bonuses of €83.5m in January 2022.

While Max Allegri’s tactics have been blamed for some of his goal-scoring problems and, more obviously, his frustration, he has also struggled for similar problems under new boss Motta after Juve’s third consecutive goalless draw in Serie A.

“I get along well with Thiago Motta and express myself well because this style of football suits me better,” Vlahovic said.

“In any case, I have always dedicated myself to Coach Allegri and am happy to do everything he asks. Since the beginning, Thiago Motta has asked me to change my discipline, to do things that may seem easy but are not easy: to go to bed at the same time, to sleep a lot and to eat right.”

The 24-year-old has scored 43 goals and provided 10 assists in 107 appearances for Juventus.

Asked what his targets are this season, he replied: “I don’t set limits for myself. I always want to raise the bar. I’m never satisfied, even in the season I moved from Fiorentina to Juventus and scored 24 goals.” ( pgzen )
