Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra revealed Caleb Martin missed practice on Saturday because the 27-year-old guard was sick with a fever, while they have yet to decide whether to rule Tyler Herro out of the second game against the Denver Nuggets, according to ESPN. 

Martin didn’t practice Saturday due to an illness, and Spoelstra hasn’t yet decided whether to rule out Herro from Sunday’s Game 2 of the NBA Finals against the Nuggets, as the 23-year-old guard continues his recovery from a broken right hand. The Heat head coach hasn’t yet set a timeframe for Herro, who was injured in Game 1 of their first-round series against the Milwaukee Bucks.

“The status hasn’t changed,” Spoelstra said of Herro. “I’m not trying to be presumptuous about it. Our focus right now is on his process, continuing to work on it and preparing a timeline for when he’s ready to go. I’ll let you know.” Thaisiambet
