In the first 16 minutes of the game, Ferencvaros scored from Adama Traore, who passed to Civic on the left and crossed to the far post for Barnabas Varga to run and head in, but was caught offside. ( wilson88 )

The home side had another chance in the 20th minute when Eldar Zivic charged down the left, received the ball and crossed to the far post. Traore ran to head the ball but it went just wide of the goal. Zivic followed up and passed to the middle for Varga, whose shot was saved before the offside flag was raised again.

However, it was Spurs who took the lead 1-0 in the 23rd minute. Mikey Moore dribbled into the penalty area, the ball was scrambled and the home defenders could not clear it. Pape Sarr then swooped in and slammed a right-footed shot into the net.

33 minutes, Spurs almost scored another goal. Pedro Porro got the ball back in the penalty area and was nudged, but he got up and continued to play. He dodged the blocker again before shooting from a tight angle with his left foot, which hit the far post hard. 

In the second half, in the 48th minute, Ferencvaros almost scored an equalizer when Saldanha got the ball in front of the penalty area and tried to shoot, but Vicario blocked it.

64′ Spurs almost got it too. Mikey Moore broke through on the right and went to the middle. Werner ran in with no chance to shoot. At first he tried to tap past the goalkeeper but the angle was too narrow and he hit the ball into the side of the net.

In the 86th minute, Spurs scored the second goal. James Maddison passed the ball to Brennan Johnson, who controlled the ball and pulled it to the left before shooting a great shot that hit the far post and went in.  

In stoppage time, Ferencvaros Varnabas Varga scored to make it 2-1, but it was too late. The game ended with Spurs winning 2-1, making it two wins in a row in the Europa League.
