Simon recently gave an interview to Spanish media, confirming that he is open to being an option, and that everything depends on the decision of head coach Ernesto Valverde.

“We have completed the four-month treatment process, although in reality it needs further evaluation, but now I am training with the team, I am doing more than before and the call-up depends on Ernesto’s decision.”
