Sheringham speaks out on Amorim’s decision not to include Van Nistelrooy in Man Utd’s new coaching staff 123overr

123overr Former Manchester United striker Teddy Sheringham believes Ruben Amorim was right not to use Ruud van Nistelrooy as a backroom staff member.

“Most managers come in with a backing staff and a track record. They can claim anything based on past successes.”

“He doesn’t know Ruud and he doesn’t know each other’s personalities, so it’s harder to bring someone you know and trust as an assistant and I think when a new manager comes in, it’s time to start fresh. You and the players don’t want to be confused about the club’s direction and you want a clear change.”
