Denmark achieved their goal of drawing 0-0 at Serbia in their final UEFA Nations League match on Monday to maintain their second place in the table and a place in the quarter-finals behind group winners Spain.
Serbia had 21 shots but failed to score, while Kasper Schmeichel made six saves for Denmark to earn the Player of the Match award.
“It’s impressive to qualify in this group,” the veteran goalkeeper, now 38, said after the game. “It’s amazing that a country of our size can qualify.”
“When you play against a team like Serbia, you know they have quality. Serbia played very well, but we defended really well as well.”
The quarter-final draw will take place on Friday, November 22, in Nyon, Switzerland. ( zbet911 )
