Cadena Ser reported on Friday that Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti is not yet convinced by his youth options and has told the club he wants to sign at least one new defender in January, with Al-Nassr and Spain international Aymeric Laporte a top target.
Ancelotti is currently left with just two experienced centre-back options and no right-back following injuries to Daniel Carvajal and Lucas Vazquez, with the Italian expected to use Federico Valverde as a stopgap option until Vazquez returns in a month.
Although both young full-backs Jesus Fortea and Loren Aguado were called up to train with the first team earlier, they have not yet received the trust of the Italian trainer.
Meanwhile, 26-year-old Real Madrid Castilla centre-back Raul Asensio is likely to play alongside Antonio Rudiger until Aurelien Chuameni recovers from injury, with Ancelotti distrusting Jesus Vallejo and youngster Jambogo Ramon.
Ancelotti has reportedly told the club he wants at least one new signing in January, with 30-year-old Al-Nassr centre-back Laporte a top priority, but it is unclear whether Real Madrid will meet the Italian’s demands. ( zbet911 )
