Rayo Vallecano are in talks with James Rodriguez to convince the 33-year-old playmaker to join them this summer, Relevo reported on Thursday.  ( hotfuns )

James is a free agent again after leaving Sao Paulo and the 33-year-old midfielder is keen to return to La Liga, having spent time at Real Madrid from 2014 to 2020 before moving to Bayern Munich on loan from 2017 to 2019. 

Celta Vigo previously tried to sign James but were unsuccessful, with Rayo Vallecano now the latest club to hold talks with the Colombian midfielder. 

James was also previously linked with a move to River Plate, before the vice-president of the Argentine club later denied the rumours.
