The signing of Winston, a former 2015 No. 1 overall draft pick who played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New Orleans Saints and Cleveland Browns, would join Tommy DeVito in the Giants’ starting quarterback room, but the Giants are also planning to add another quarterback from free agency or the No. 3 pick in this year’s draft. 

The Giants were previously interested in former New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who recently visited the Pittsburgh Steelers’ practice facility, but no deal has been reached. According to Pelissero, the 41-year-old quarterback has a chance of ending up with the Blues as well.

Winston has been the best quarterback in the game, but also one of the worst. He’s completed 61.1 percent of his passes for 2,121 yards, 13 touchdowns and 12 interceptions in 12 games with the Browns in the 2024 season.
