Jokeres has been in fine form for Sporting Lisbon this season, scoring 43 goals in 43 games in all competitions, and has attracted interest from a number of teams across Europe.

Manchester United and Arsenal are the two Premier League sides most closely linked, while the player is also keen on a return to England after previously playing for Coventry.

The Sun reports that Sporting Lisbon are ready to let Victor Yokeres go for less than his £85m release clause in return for the player’s loyalty.

Jokeres chose to stay put and not move in the January transfer window, so the club plans to reward him by releasing him for less than his release clause this summer, which is expected to be in the region of £55-70m.
