Minnesota Vikings running back Aaron Jones, 29, said he would jump into the stands at Lambeau Field if he scored a touchdown against his former team, the Green Bay Packers, on Sunday, NFL Network reported.  pgzen

Jones spent seven seasons with the Packers after entering the league as a fifth-round draft pick in the 2017 class before signing a one-year deal with the division rival Vikings this past offseason and is set to return to Lambeau Field for the first time in seven months, where the 29-year-old running back plans to jump into the stands if he scores on Sunday. 

“I’ll definitely jump up there,” Jones said of diving into the stands if he scores a touchdown. “Absolutely, if you’re not thinking about the end zone, you’re thinking wrong.” 

However, Jones admitted that jumping into the stands at Lambeau Field is something he has to consider as well.

“It depends on which end zone I score in,” Jones said. “But any end zone, it’s not too high. It’s pretty high up there, but I can still get up there. So any end zone, hopefully there’s a Vikings fan in one of the end zones so I can get up there. But I think that’s a pretty cool shot with the two jerseys.” 

Jones rushed for 5,940 yards and 45 touchdowns in seven seasons in Green Bay, leading the team to four playoff appearances and three NFC North championships, before moving across the pond to the Vikings, where he rushed 42 times for 228 yards, an average of 5.1 yards per carry, and scored one score.  ( pgzen )
