Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley is sending words of encouragement to Daniel Jones, hoping for a successful career ahead, after the New York Giants agreed to release the 27-year-old quarterback, NFL Network reported. pgzen

“I’ve been in touch with him, and our friendship has been strong throughout the process of me being here,” Barkley said. “It’s been terrible to see everything that’s happened to him there. I have nothing but good things to say about him. You really can’t find anyone who doesn’t have a negative thing to say about him.”

‘It’s the NFL. Hopefully wherever he ends up next, they’ll find someone to come in and do a job. But it didn’t work out for me, and I’m doing well now. Hopefully he finds a new beginning and the same success.’ 

Barkley and Jones were drafted in the first round by the Giants in the 2018 and 2019 classes, respectively. Together, they proved their worth as professionals and went 9-7-1 as Giants in 2022, clinching their first playoff appearance since Eli Manning left the team.
