Peyton returns to Pelicans to solve injury crisis 123over 

123over The New Orleans Pelicans have signed free agent guard Elfried Payton to a deal that would ease their injury crisis, reuniting him with Smoothie King Center. 123over 

ESPN reported that the signing, which was not disclosed, was in return for his participation in training camp last summer, where he competed in two pre-season games. 

Peyton has not played in the NBA since the 2021-22 season, having played 50 games for the Phoenix Suns.
