vox888 Leicester City Football Club has officially announced the appointment of Manchester United legend Ruud van Nistelrooy as their new boss.

The 48-year-old Dutchman has been appointed Leicester boss, replacing Steve Cooper, who was sacked on November 24, with Ruud signing a contract with the Foxes until June 2027. vox888

Van Nistelrooy was previously Manchester United’s assistant manager under Erik ten Hag before the former Red Devils striker took over as caretaker manager for four games after the club sacked Ten Hag on October 28.

However, Van Nistelrooy had to part ways with United as new United manager Ruben Amorim wanted his own coaching staff.

The Foxes are currently ranked 16th in the table with 10 points from their first 12 matches, just 1 point above the relegation zone and have not won a single league match in 4 consecutive games.
