The Denver Nuggets have placed Jamal Murray in concussion protocol after the 27-year-old guard clashed with Minnesota Timberwolves forward Julius Randle, causing a concussion, USA Today reports. 

Murray clashed with Randle and left the Nuggets in the third quarter of Friday’s 116-119 loss to the Timberwolves, forcing the 27-year-old guard into the NBA’s concussion protocol and missing Saturday’s 129-103 win over the Utah Jazz.

Through five games this season, Murray is averaging 16.2 points, 4.4 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.2 steals. He played just 22 minutes against the Timberwolves, recording six points, six assists and two rebounds while shooting just 28.6 percent. Player1688
