Rivers was disappointed with the referee’s decision to call a foul on home guard LaMello Ball when Giannis Antetokounmpo was marking him and then went down on his knees during a drive. 

The move led to two free throws for Charlotte to secure the win. 

“I think the referee made the wrong call on that last play. It’s the second straight time we’ve had the wrong call,” Rivers said after the game at the Spectrum Center. 

The Bucks head coach’s criticism may have been wrong in terms of league rules prohibiting criticism of referees, but it was correct in fact, as Chief Referees Curtis Blair issued a statement saying the incident was a mistake by the on-field official. Player1688
