Kvaratskhelia was substituted in the second half of Georgia’s 1-0 win over Albania on Tuesday and will be assessed by Napoli’s medical team ahead of the trip to Cagliari.

“After the injury in the first half, Kvara had to play with pain,” Georgia coach Willy Sagnol said. ( zbet911 )

“He wanted to play as much as possible, he had spirit. We needed more movement in the last 15-20 minutes, so we brought on Zuriko (Davitashvili) and he did well.”

Kvaratskhelia was substituted in the 75th minute of the game.

The Georgian international has returned to Naples where he will be assessed by Napoli doctors.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Napoli are hoping Kvaratskhelia’s injury is not serious, but the 23-year-old will undergo tests ahead of their next Serie A game on Sunday, September 15.

Kvaratskeleyi has played four times in all competitions for Napoli this season, scoring one goal and providing one assist.

His contract at the Maradona Stadium expires in June 2027.
