McTominay started as Scotland narrowly beat Poland 2-1 with Andy Robertson’s stoppage-time winner helping them finish third in the UEFA Nations League A1. 

Scotland escaped automatic relegation and had another shot at a play-off spot, but McTominay was forced off with an injury in the 76th minute.

McTominay’s injury is a major concern for Napoli as he has been in fine form for both club and country, having played 25 times in the first half against Poland without fail.

After joining Napoli this season, the 27-year-old midfielder has become a key player in Antonio Conte’s side, making 13 appearances in all competitions and helping them top Serie A. Napoli’s next fixture is a home clash against Roma on Sunday, November 24.  ( wilson88 )
