Atlanta Falcons head coach Raheem Morris has brought back Jeff Ulbrich, 47, as his defensive coordinator after firing Jimmy Lake just one season on the job, ESPN reports. mungmee168
Morris was previously the Falcons’ interim head coach in 2020. He brought in then-linebackers coach Ulbrich as an assistant head coach and wide receivers coach before moving to the New York Jets as defensive coordinator and linebackers coach in 2021 and exclusively as a defensive coordinator in 2024.
Ulbrich stepped in as acting head coach after the Jets fired Robert Saleh, overseeing Gang Green for 12 games, going 3-9, but was not considered a potential head coaching candidate before Morris brought him back to Atlanta.
Morris and Ulbrich worked together in Atlanta from 2015-2020 under then-head coach Dan Quinn until Quinn was fired and Morris became the interim head coach.
Morris then moved to the LA Rams as defensive coordinator from 2021-2023 before being brought back by the Falcons as head coach ahead of the 2024 season, where he finished his first year with an 8-9 record. ( mungmee168 )
