Indianapolis Colts safety Camryn Bynum, 27, believes a battle between Daniel Jones and Anthony Richardson will bring out the best in both, according to NFL Network. mungmee168

“I think it’s a good situation for any quarterback,” Bynum said. “It’s definitely an awkward position because you’re competing for one spot, but as a competitor, that’s what you want. You don’t want to take anything for granted. So both quarterbacks are going to have to work hard to prove themselves to be the starters this year. Both looked great and played well in the spring.”

‘So I’m excited to see how it goes, but whatever happens, as a defensive player, going up against them, they’re going to be a challenge for us. I think no matter who the team picks and who the leadership picks as their starting quarterback this season, I’m confident in both of them.’

Richardson has struggled with health issues throughout the first two years of his career. This offseason, the former first-round pick in the 2023 draft was also dealing with a shoulder injury that kept him out of minicamp, causing Jones to work with the starters in preseason practices and games while Richardson rehabbed.

“I think overall we have a strong team at every position. You see great players at every position, on offense and defense, and for me, I’m biased,” Bynum, who signed a four-year deal with the Colts this offseason after spending the first four years of his career with the Minnesota Vikings, added.

‘Looking at the defense, I expect a lot from our team with the new defense coach, with Coach Lu (Anarumo) by his side, and bringing the defense he brings with him an aggressive style of play, especially the front line players.’
