Cope journalist Melchor Ruiz reported on Monday that Real Madrid are set to have Eder Militao undergo surgery to repair a torn ACL in his right knee on Tuesday.

Militao suffered the serious injury during a 4-0 win over Osasuna on November 9 and it was later confirmed that the 26-year-old defender had torn his right ACL for the second time in 15 months, having torn his left ACL in August last year. He has been spending the rest of his life at home awaiting surgery on the injury.

‘Eder Militao will reportedly undergo surgery on Tuesday after suffering a complete rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) affecting both meniscus on his right knee,’ Melchor Ruiz posted on X.
