Spanish outlet Cadena Ser reports that Real Madrid will not adjust their plans to sign another defender before the winter window closes, despite the loss of Antonio Rudiger to an additional injury in the 1-0 defeat to Espanyol. 

Rudiger was withdrawn from the field in the 15th minute after suffering a muscle problem in his right hamstring, with Raul Asensio coming on in his place. It was reported that the German defender would have to rest for around three weeks, missing at least five games against Leganes (Copa del Rey quarter-finals), Atletico Madrid (La Liga), Manchester City (both Champions League play-offs) and the away game against Osasuna (La Liga). 

Although Carlo Ancelotti is left with only three centre-back options in Aurelien Chuameni, Raul Asensio and David Alaba, Real Madrid will not sign any new players this window, despite previously being linked with Al-Nassr’s Spain international centre-back Aymeric Laporte. ( doohee )
