Kodma168 Simmons reveals why Ward was overlooked

Kodma168 Rookie QB Cam Ward hasn’t been talked about much, as most people overlook the Tennessee Titans.

Jeffery Simmons, a 27-year-old defensive tackle, has revealed why No. 1 rookie quarterback Cam Ward hasn’t been the subject of much attention, as many have overlooked the Tennessee Titans, who have won just 16 games over the last three seasons, NFL Network reported. Kodma168

“First of all, I think our team, the Tennessee Titans, has never gotten the respect and the attention that we need,” Simmons said. “I’ve never seen a No. 1 pick get the respect and, frankly, the attention that he deserves.” 

After spending time together during team activities and minicamp, Simmons believes that will change as Ward gains the confidence he expects to shine on the court. 

‘After the play, we stopped him and I thought I had a sack,’ Simmons continued. ‘All of a sudden, we’re talking shit and Callie (head coach Brian Callahan) is playing a bad game with him. I’m still talking shit to him. I like to brag because that’s my game. I want to talk shit. I want to get in your head. ‘

‘He didn’t feel anything. He was still talking shit while Callie was on him. He was on offense, still talking shit to me. When they put him on that play and he got to the line, the next play after the taunts, he threw an 80-yard pass to Calvin Ridley. That showed we had won. He was serious.’ 

‘I think the situation we’re facing right now is that he’s not getting enough praise, like he’s not being chosen as number one or he’s not getting the attention and praise he deserves.’

‘But I think that’s a big feeling for him. You can tell by the way he’s working, his confidence, his demeanor. That’s one thing I’m excited to see. I’m excited to get back in camp next week and get closer to him and learn a little bit more about him.’  ( Kodma168 )
