The former first-round pick in the 2022 draft has developed into a key player on the Chiefs’ defense under Steve Spagnuolo, playing alongside veteran defensive tackle Chris Jones, who the Chiefs just exercised the fifth-year option on in April. 

The Chiefs have agreed to a four-year, $93 million extension with $62 million guaranteed, with an average annual salary of $22 million, potentially rising to $23.25 million with incentive bonuses.

Karlaftis totaled 115 tackles, 56 QB hits, 24 tackles for loss and 24.5 sacks in 49 regular-season games.  ( Kodma168 )
