kindee1688 Daniel Jones, the 28-year-old midfielder, has been training well and has received praise from the head coach of the Indy team.

Indianapolis Colts head coach Shane Steiken said he is pleased with the current quarterback situation with Daniel Jones stepping up to become the starting quarterback following Anthony Richardson’s shoulder injury, NFL Network reports.  kindee1688

“Very happy with what we have now,” Steiken said. “He’s doing a great job. He plays great football, learned the game quickly, made great decisions through the off-season. Of course we want to take that into training camp, but he’s doing a great job. He’s got great control, he’s a total professional.”

After being released by the New York Giants, Jones signed with the Minnesota Vikings to be Sam Darnold’s backup and was reportedly interested in re-signing him this offseason, but the 28-year-old quarterback decided to move on to a one-year, $14 million deal with Indy. 

“I think it’s the same thing you would do in any situation,” Jones said. “Just learning this offense and getting used to it, so I’m trying to focus on that as much as I can and then playing good football when I’m on the pitch.” ( kindee1688 )
