Exclusive Sports Group, Shaq Griffin’s agent, confirmed the 29-year-old cornerback has agreed to a one-year, $3 million deal with the Seattle Seahawks, which could rise to $4 million in incentive bonuses, ESPN reports. kindee1688

Former Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Griffin will add experience to the Seahawks’ young cornerback group. He will compete with Josh Jobe for the third-string cornerback spot to play alongside Devon Witherspoon and Rick Woolen. 

The Seahawks are looking to add cornerback in free agency after not selecting a player at the position in the draft in late April. 

Griffin, a third-round pick in the 2017 NFL draft, began his career with the Seahawks for the first four seasons before moving on to the Jacksonville Jaguars, Houston Texans, Carolina Panthers, Vikings and finally returning to Seattle. During his eight NFL seasons, Griffin appeared in 106 games (82 starts), had nine interceptions and 70 pass defenses.  ( kindee1688 )
