kindee1688 Forte signs one-day deal to retire from Bears

kindee1688 Veteran running back Matt Forte is set to retire from football this year in style, signing a one-day deal with the team he played for the first eight seasons of his career, the Chicago Bears.

The 32-year-old announced his retirement last week, and told NBC he wanted to step back from the turf, with Bears staff hugging him goodbye.  kindee1688

Forte rushed for 8,602 of his 9,796 total yards with Chicago from 2008-2015.

In 2014, he set a franchise record for most catches per season with 102, was named to the Pro Bowl twice, and had a club-record 12,718 yards and 64 scores. 

He is also ranked 9th all-time in receiving yards in the league, behind Larry Sentz, Marshall Folk, Ladian Tomlinson, Keith Bears, Marcus Allen, Tiki Barber, Ronnie Harmon and Roger Craig.  ( kindee1688 )
