Borussia Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl has admitted he is at a loss for words to explain his side’s humiliating 5-1 defeat to Stuttgart and has warned it will not happen again, Ruhr Nachrichten reported on Monday. 

“What we did, what we did on the pitch, is largely indescribable and must never happen to us again,” Kehl said.

‘Every player should be angry about our performance. Everyone should take a look at themselves and think about how this performance happened. Apart from a few players, I didn’t see anyone who was anywhere near their usual level and felt like they wanted to win the game.’ 

It was a defeat to Stuttgart in their last four meetings in all competitions, with Borussia Dortmund able to break the legs of the White Horses for the last time since the 2022-23 season, when they beat the away team 5-0 at home. ( pgzen )
