According to Sky Sports, Lopetegui, who took over from David Moyes in the summer of 2024, has failed to perform as expected. After 11 matchdays, they are five points above the relegation zone. 

That leaves the 58-year-old’s future up for debate by the board in the next two games, at Newcastle (November 25) and then at Arsenal (November 30).
