    The Argentina international has struggled since Amorim’s arrival, with speculation linking him with a move away from the club, but he has slowly settled into the side and made an impact, most recently in Thursday’s 2-0 Europa League win over Steaua Bucharest. ( gameintr88 ) 

    Amorim praised Garnacho for his continued improvement, understanding the game and what he wants to do best for the player and the team.

    “I don’t think he has improved under me (because of me). He changed immediately after the City game (where he wasn’t in the team), the way he understands things and understands what I want to do to help him. I just want to win games,” Amorim said.

    “He changed everything with what I talked about to him, the way he went through his recovery. He understands sometimes I’m a different coach, I want things my way. Sometimes it’s hard to make the first impact.”

    “It’s a different coach and he understands it’s never a bad thing, it’s for him, but I’m a different person. I think all the credit comes from Garnacho himself and he’s improved, which we want to continue to improve, Garnacho.”

    “Today he understood the positioning, the rhythm of the play both in the middle and on the wings, the link-up play with (Diogo) Dalot, I think he improved a lot.”
