Nottingham Forest are reportedly set to pay Vitoria Guimaraes a base fee of €7m (£5.9m) plus a further €5m (£4.2m) in add-ons based on game time and performance.

Last season, Silva was in impressive form and attracted much attention after scoring 15 goals and providing seven assists in 42 games in all competitions. His form was so good that Roberto Martinez called him up to the Portugal national team this year, where he has played two games but was not named in the 26-man Euro 2024 squad.

Silva has been the subject of much scrutiny, as he has a similar appearance, hairstyle, short-sock style and fluid playing style to Manchester City’s handsome winger Grealish. However, he sees himself as having a more similar playing style to Liverpool’s striker Diogo Jota.
