Barcelona took the lead as expected after beating Rayo Vallecano 2-1 in La Liga on Tuesday, with new signing Dani Olmo scoring the winning goal on his debut.

“We knew it was going to be a very difficult game, so we’re happy to win,” Flick said after the game. “We did a great job in the second half.”

“Overall, I was more satisfied with the second half than the first. In the first half we didn’t do well, we didn’t press as well as we wanted, but in the second half we changed things up and got a deserved win.”

“We defended well, but not perfectly. Rayo is a very good team and they have very fast players. It’s not easy to defend their attacks.”
