Anan Yodsangwan, the Thai national team’s forward, gave an interview before the Thai national team departed for Hanoi, Vietnam, to prepare for the first match of the 2024 ASEAN Mitsubishi Electric Cup, against Timor Leste on December 8.

For Anan, this is his first time playing in the AFF Championship, having previously been named in the Thai national team.

“Right now, the team may not have all the players yet, but Coach Ishii already has tactics to use against Timor Leste, and all the players are trying to follow the coach’s tactics as best they can,” said Anan.

“In this visit, we hope to collect three points because it will increase our confidence in the next game. Personally, I think we are not afraid of Timor-Leste’s half-breed or naturalized Brazilian players. I think our Thai national team is well prepared and strong enough to handle them, whether they are half-breed or naturalized players. We are never afraid.”

“I think there is no difference between closed and open training because we train according to the coach’s plan, which gives the same benefits. Personally, I have begun to understand the coach’s tactics more during the training camp. I would like to ask Thai football fans to follow and cheer for the Thai national team. We will try to bring three points back to Thailand.”
