Manchester Evening News reports that the 27-year-old’s move from Old Trafford in the winter transfer window has given him a new lease of life, having influenced the Blues’ attacking game, playing 11 games in all competitions, scoring 3 goals and providing 4 assists. 

Villa are still on course for a Champions League quarter-final against Paris Saint-Germain, an FA Cup semi-final against Crystal Palace and a top-five finish in the Premier League to secure a Champions League place next season.

The doctor-winning star’s silver lining was that he was recalled to the England squad by head coach Thomas Tuchel in March. All this came after leaving the ‘Red Devils’. 

A free transfer to Aston Villa is the right thing to do in terms of his career, so Rashford is ready to take a pay cut from £325,000-a-week to £150,000-a-week to maintain his wage ceiling at Villa Park.
