Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel has confirmed the signing of free agent quarterback Tyler Huntley to the practice squad after Tua Tagovailoa was ruled out again with a concussion, NFL Network reports.

Huntley, a former 2022 Pro Bowl pick, entered the league undrafted in 2020. He played the first four years of his career with the Baltimore Ravens before being signed to the Cleveland Browns’ practice squad and then returned to Baltimore before being signed to the Dolphins’ practice squad after Tagovailoa’s injury.

As for Tagovailoa, he remains in concussion protocol and will miss at least one game, with McDaniel planning on starting Skylar Thompson in Week 3 against the Seattle Seahawks, and adding Huntley gives the Dolphins a potential backup with enough talent to be a starter as well.  ( vox888 )
