The Athletic FC report that the 29-year-old is not in head coach Enzo Maresca’s plans, forcing him to move on by not submitting a squad for the league, Europa Conference League and even giving Pedro Neto the No. 7 shirt.  ( vox888 )

The obstacle to a move that could put Aston Villa, Juventus and Crystal Palace out of reach is his £325,000-a-week wages, with three years remaining on his contract. 

The Blues want to call up players to sign new contracts to adjust the salary structure to create competition to buy at reasonable prices. 

Another option that is not closed is a swap deal for United’s Sancho, who is keen to leave Old Trafford, on a contract that is close to Raheem’s £300,000-a-week. 

In this case, the player himself does not mind playing for United, even though he used to play for Manchester City or Liverpool, the arch-rivals of the ‘Red Devils’. 

Erik ten Hag’s team is also ready to work with the former England winger because he is versatile and can play in any frontline position, as long as he accepts the terms of the swap.  

      The Premier League transfer window is set to close at midnight on Friday, August 30.
