“Clips” employee reveals he was fired for criticizing Kawai’s condition Player1688 

Player1688 Former LA Clippers physio Randy Shelton is suing the team and COO Thomas Franks for unfairly dismissing him after he criticized forward Kawhi Leonard’s physical condition. Player1688 

Bleacher Report reports that Shelton claims he was fired for criticizing the team for using Leonard while he was still in bad shape, which violated NBA protocols and was not worth the cost of the contract. 

But it turned out that the executives could not accept it and immediately fired the trainer. 

“We hope that clients who seek our services will alert the Clippers organization to the fact that their players are not worth the dollars they are paid,” the lawyers said in a statement. 

“But the demands from individuals are significant – it’s not worth the risk, the physical side, the rehabilitation throughout the career.” 

Shelton joined the Clippers in July 2019, having previously worked with Leonard at San Diego State University as a strength and conditioning coach. Player1688 

The move was one of the conditions the Clippers agreed to for Leonard. 

The two- time NBA Finals MVP is out this season due to a knee infection.
