The Philadelphia Eagles have reached an agreement with Nick Sirianni on a multi-year contract extension with the 43-year-old head coach following his stellar start to the season that saw him lead the Eagles to Super Bowl 50 last season, NFL Network reports.

Sirianni took over as head coach in the 2021 offseason despite a difficult time in which he was almost fired after the 2023 season. However, the 43-year-old head coach turned things around and won the franchise’s second Super Bowl 50, before the Phillies confirmed a multi-year extension with Sirianni. 

“As an organization, we are committed to building a culture of sustainable success on championship teams, and nothing is more important than having great leaders to foster that kind of environment,” Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie said in a statement after the head coach was extended.

‘Nick has embodied everything we’ve wanted in a head coach since we hired him four years ago. His true leadership style, football intelligence, passion for the game and growth mindset bring out the best in our team.’

Sirianni went 48-20 during the regular season, including two NFC East titles. He led Philly to 54 wins, including the postseason, the second-best total in his first four seasons as a manager, behind only George Seifert of the San Francisco 49ers.
