Former Indianapolis Colts defensive coordinator Eberflus took over as the Bears’ head coach from Matt Nagy this offseason, and the 51-year-old is hopeful Fields, who is entering his second year of professional football, can make rapid progress.
“His development in year two should be a big leap,” Eberflus said of Fields. “It should be. That’s what we’re looking for.”
